Travel options (original post Aug 16th, 2017, 11.47PM)

The world 🌎 is such a big place and trying to decide where to go on holiday, what to see, who to go with are some of the main difficulties we face when we are lucky enough to be able to venture on one.

I have luckily been able to see a few places but of course there are so many more! I fee like I have only sampled a small piece!

A friend today was talking about solo travel and how they would like to do it themselves. As I said in an earlier post, I was lucky enough to be able to go to Canada solo and even though it was for work mainly, it was still a solo experience.  I was able to recommend doing it as I found it was a positive experience for me!

Obviously, travelling solo has it's drawbacks such as loneliness and vulnerability when trying new things and stepping out of your comfort zone. But I found anyway that trying these things help to make you stronger as the feeling of accomplishment when successes are gained, is so great and satisfying.

If the option of travelling with someone else is there, then so as not to ruin your trip, it's important to ensure your travel companions are compatible with you. This is really important if the person does not have a strong relationship beforehand with you. Travelling with someone can be like living with them so relationships can be formed or ruined quite quickly!

One thing that would help your state of mind is being able to be content with being solo so that you would be comfortable experiencing things yourself and not always relying on someone else to  lean on.

So, travel either solo or surrounded by family and friends but remember to make the most out of the actual mission...travel!
