Does the shoe fit? πŸ‘Ÿ

Still seeing photos and videos and having chats about my 2nd ever powerlifting competition last Saturday! (Thanks Boyneside 🀩) Was gifted with my first pair of weightlifting πŸ‹️‍♀️ shoes πŸ‘Ÿ too for after it from my folks! 😍 Bringing up lot of thoughts πŸ’ though! Looking back on the whole thing, I went through every emotion-nerves for walking out in front of everyone, anxiety at not being familiar with the whole process, apprehension with not knowing a lot of people and trying to build up the courage to say hi even, embarrassment at having such light lifts in comparison to others and still struggling with some. So, I’m at a crossroads of what to do-do I give the shoes a try? (Kind of a metaphor here) Is powerlifting even for me? Do I take a different route? I know my goal is to be stronger anyway that’s for sure. But does that look like trying to be accepted into an area or group where maybe I don’t belong, does it mean I try focus on just me and whatever good comes along with that I...

What does your win πŸ† look like?

People set different challenges for themselves all the time. The focus can be around fitness, career, lifestyle-many things. With a challenge brings a win of some sort and that can also look different. Some people can focus on a target 🎯 of a certain distance ran, weight lifted, job role secured, country visited. When these targets are met, they are celebrated as a win πŸ†. But wins I think can also be less defined but more of a feeling being the sense of achievement. For example-getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new even though it brings a lot of anxiety at even the thoughts of it. This is my personal win at the moment. The night before powerlifting como number 2. Very very daunting and intimidating as social anxiety for me is real! So, signing up for it and getting the weigh in done this morning and showing up tomorrow-that’s winning for me πŸ˜€ #showup #winning #goal #success #anxiety #fear #outofcomfortzone #try #putyourselfoutthere

Body chemicals boost 🀩

Ever get one of those days where many lil things inject some happy?! πŸ₯°πŸ€©  Think it’s good to look at what they are and grab on and make them multiply! They can be the smallest thing but have such a profound effect adding to the happy! πŸ₯° The more they appear-they help as a reminder to try not worry so much about what’s out of our control or about people who just don’t care. So what are some of these happy boosting things? πŸ˜† Well, everyone is different but today for me where I had the happy boost: conversations and being around good people πŸ’¬ , trying to learn πŸ€“ getting help in a workout πŸ‹️‍♀️ , some good music during errands🎡, planning trips and occasions with family and friends πŸ‘πŸ‘« & knowing they are all good 😌 #itsthelittlethings #trytoforgetthebad #happy #love #family #friends #mindset
