Hello 4th Dan Black belt!!! 👋🥋 So happy that I can say that! 😍 Grading was today and I got it! 🥳 I didn’t think I would ever get it to be honest. 🥺 My taekwondo journey has not been smooth from the start-not seeing it for the sport that it is, different coaches, time away from it for other things. So, I had to make a decision-do I want it and am I willing to put the work in? 🤔 That’s when I looked to those who are more skilled and tried to take learnings from them as much as I could-even over zoom during the pandemic-not the easiest in an apartment living room-but it was the kickstart I needed! With today’s grading I have already critiqued it and cringing 😬 at some of the mistakes I made when with less panic I could have done so much better.🫣 But I know I’m far from perfect with it.
