Self care 'Sunday' (original post Feb 7th, 2021)
The term ‘self care Sunday’ got me thinking 💭 Why is it attached to one particular day? I know it’s the end of the normal ‘working week’ and a reset before a new week but maybe it’s not the worst idea to take that out and share it to other days and times. Have some ‘self care’ moments on different days and maybe create new positive habits where we get a few more bits of happy more often instead of just the one time during the week. Maybe this can allow us to look at different ways we can have our ‘self care’ no matter how small...listening to an audio book for 20 minutes, watching highlights of a favorite sport, reading a chapter or 2 of a new book 📚, trying out those new hair care/skin care products we have been meaning to try, getting out for some fresh air for a walk or run or cycle, calling a friend we haven’t caught up with in a while. So many things to allow us to take a time out to re focus, settle our minds from anxiety, worries, stresses and then be more prepared to continue onto the next tasks facing us. So maybe ‘self care Sunday’ can now be ‘self care sessions’ 😄 #selfcaresunday #selfcare #reset#focus #mindfulness #noexcuses #metime #positive#mentalwellness #breathe
